In Berlin in 1943, Lilly Wust is a married mother whose daily life is protected by the social position of her family. Through friends she meets Felice Schragenheim, a Jewish woman living under a false identity and connected to resistance work. As the two women begin a relationship, Felice must decide how much of her life she can reveal while surveillance and racial law narrow the time and space available to them.
