A young woman isolates herself in a room, rearranging the space, writing letters and limiting her contact with the outside world. She eventually leaves and accepts a ride from a truck driver before arriving at the home of a former lover. The film follows these encounters in sequence, using changes in space and company to track a movement from solitude toward contact.
