After arriving in Los Angeles to pursue acting, Betty discovers an injured woman hiding in her aunt’s apartment. The woman has no memory of the car crash that brought her there and no clear sense of her own identity. Calling herself Rita, she begins searching for answers with Betty’s help. Their investigation moves through the city’s apartments, casting rooms and night spaces, where each new clue raises further questions about Rita’s past and Betty’s place in Hollywood.
