Delphine leaves her family’s farm for Paris in the early 1970s and becomes involved with the women’s liberation movement. She meets Carole, an activist who is already in a relationship, and the two women begin seeing each other. When Delphine must return home to help run the farm, Carole follows her into a setting where family labour, property and public knowledge place different limits on their relationship.
