Thelma leaves her religious family to attend university in Oslo and begins living away from their supervision for the first time. She becomes close to Anja as unexplained seizures and events begin interrupting her daily life. Looking for an explanation leads Thelma back to family records and memories that suggest others have known more about her condition than they admitted.
